The only thing I see as a deterrent to the election is the low-key position of the Star-Telegram not informing the general public about this election. You can devote pages and pages and an entire section to sports. But concerning the election, there are very few who know anything about this election. I feel that the Star-Telegram is in cahoots with the mayor and those councilpersons running for re-election. This election is as important as the National Election that was held back on November 4, 2008, more so because this election is about those office holders in the immediate community. It's not so much lack of concern on the part of the public but a lack of concern coming from the Newspapers and those who wish to keep this election low-key so that they can get re-elected without the minimum effort having to be made.
