FORT WORTH -- After yesterday's attack at the office of state Sen. Wendy Davis, some supporters decided it was time to start raising money for the senator's re-election bid.
ActBlue noted on a website that Davis' district office was the target of an attack this week. "While her staff works to rebuild, let's help support her campaign," the website said.
"Wendy Davis is an unabashed champion for education and women's health, and a crucial 12th Democrat in the State Senate. She ousted a Republican in 2008 and was initially gerrymandered out of her district by the Republican legislature before prevailing in court."
Davis does not have a Democratic challenger, but she will face in November the winner of the Republican primary that pits state Rep. Mark Shelton of Fort Worth and Derek Cooper.
