Justin Hewlett knows what's important.
And today, it's family.
Today, his daughter Tyler is getting married and he won't be doing any campaigning.
"I am not campaigning, but will instead be following my wife and daughter around and doing as I am told (it took me a while, but I finally learned the proper way for a husband and father to participate in a wedding)," Hewlett, mayor of Cleburne, said in a statement.
He is one of 12 Republicans running for the redrawn 25th Congressional District that stretches from Tarrant County to Austin.
Others in the race: Ernie Beltz Jr. of Austin, Bill Burch of Grand Prairie, Costa, James Dillon of Liberty Hill, Dave Garrison of Austin,Charlie Holcomb of Wimberley, Brian Matthews of Austin, Wes Riddle of Gatesville, Chad Wilbanks of Austin, Michael Williams of Arlington and Roger Williams of Weatherford.
The winner of the GOP primary will face Democrat Elaine Henderson of Lago Vista in November.
