FORT WORTH -- A line of more than a dozen voters stretched out the front doors at Tanglewood Elementary School Tuesday morning.
During one of the busiest times of the day at the school -- around 7: 40 a.m. when parents drop their children off for the beginning of the school day -- voters waited about half an hour in a line that stretched down the sidewalk and to the street.
"It's awesome," said Sally Beezley, a Tanglewood mom who waited in line to vote with her husband, Mark.
Parents avoided the traditional carpool line area to free up parking spaces for voters at the site.
Campaign signs filled the grassy area in front of the school.
Voting runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.
