A Diamond Hill election worker got in trouble when onlookers reported her to the county elections office during early voting for what they said was "trying to influence voters."
The woman, onlookers said, apparently was advising her neighbors to vote a straight-Democratic ticket. Tsk. Tsk.
The county's elections office sent an observer to check it out. But by the very next day, the worker was gone. She had gone home sick, a county election official said.
To voters everywhere, be vigilant of any shenanigans at your polling place. Remember, your vote is your own. You can report any suspect activity to the county's elections office at 817-831-VOTE.
