As of 5:30 p.m., fewer than 400 people had cast ballots at Donna Shepard Intermediate School, at the intersection of Farm Road 1187 and Business 287 in Mansfield.
"We could handle more voters," Precinct Judge Tom May said.
Election Day has gone without incident, he said. Some folks had to be reminded to put away their cellphones, "but nobody has done anything inappropriate."
"Our goal is to provide a pure voting process," he added.
