Fort Worth City Councilman Joel Burns is among the Texans who will serve in the 2013 class of the Texas Lyceum, a statewide nonpartisan leadership group.

The Lyceum is made up of 96 Texas men and women under the age of 46 who each will serve six-year terms with the group.

Each member has demonstrated leadership in his or her professor and community.

"I am honored to join them as a new director," Burns has said.
