Espino reported $58,135 in political contributions, $48,217, and $33,834 in cash on hand for the period Jan. 1 through April 11.
His biggest contributor was attorney Domingo Garcia, $5,000, who ran unsuccessfully for Congress last year. Espino's contributors also included former Mayor Mike Moncrief, $250; the Bass famil'y's Good Government Fund and PSEL PAC political action committees, $750 apiece; and the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors PAC, $2,500.
Lane reported contributions of $10,699 in contributions, $9,540 in expenses, and $1,158 in cash on hand. His biggest contribution was from his Jim Lane TRWD Campaign Fund, $3,994. Lane was elected to the Tarrant Regional Water District board in 2006.
Lane ran two campaign launch events just in the last week, since the deadline for the first-quarter finance filing, He also won the endorsement of the Fort Worth Police Officers Association since the deadline, and his first-quarter report shows no contributions from the police PAC.
