Gardner reported $5,325 in contributions, including $4,000 from his stepfather Larry Lyons of Fort Worth. He also reported $9,158 in expenses for yard signs, cards, stationary and other expense. He reported a cash-on-hand deficit of $3,833, but Gardner said he hasn't yet loaned his campaign money, because much of the expense is still in invoices.
Gardner, who lives in the far North Heritage Trace neighborhood, told a campaign forum Wednesday he's knocked on about 1,500 doors so far.
Awaiting Scarth's report today.
