Former Fort Worth City Council members Jim Lane and Kathleen Hicks, challengers in the city's May 11 City Council District 2 and 8 races, have won the Fort Worth Police Officers Association endorsements.
Hicks tweeted the news on her endorsement last night. The POA confirmed this morning that its PAC endorsed the two candidates in their races against incumbents Sal Espino and Kelly Allen Gray, respectively. Sgt. Steve Hall, the POA president, said the association was still working on endorsements in the other races.
Two others - District 4, featuring incumbent Danny Scarth against challenger Paul Gardner, and District 5, featuring incumbent Frank Moss against challengers Gyna Bivens and John Tunmire - are contested.
