While there, he shook a lot of hands and greeted a lot of members.
He even stopped by the desk of state Rep. Lon Burnam, D-Fort Worth, to exchange handshakes, hugs and jokes.
"The governor and I have a good joking relationship," Burnam said. "He complained I was being too quiet this session."
On his way out of the chamber, Perry was asked by reporters if there would be a special session.
"We are headed for the end of the session," he said, remaining quiet on all other questions asked of him.
