Challenger Jacinto Ramos, Jr. led incumbent Carlos Vasquez in the Fort Worth schools District 1 trustee race, after the mail-in and early in-person votes were counted tonight. Ramos has 479 votes, or 44.68 percent of the ballots, compared to Vasquez' 331 and Camille Rodriguez' 262.
In the District 9 trustee race, incumbent Juan Rangel had 394 votes, or 50.7 percent, compared to 339 for challenger Ashley Paz and 43 for Melody Palacios, who withdrew from the race after the deadline to have her name removed from the ballot.
Tarrant County elections officials said the numbers represent all of the mail and early vote. The next batch of numbers is due out at 8:30 p.m.
