Sen. John Cornyn's surprise putdown of the Iran nuclear deal Saturday night lit up Twitter. Here's what he wrote:
"Amazing what WH will do to distract attention from O-care"
That prompted a retort from, among others former Obama adviser David Plouffe@davidplouffe
"No, a real distraction would be war. Like Iraq."
Suzanne Trimel@strimel, a former Amnesty International media official said:
Senator, this is so beneath the dignity of the office you hold. An historic nuclear agreement w/ Iran is not a "distraction."
Cornyn had supporters, too:
The deal with Iran is a distraction from ObamaCare, which is in itself a distraction from Benghazi.
