The first Boeing 787 painted at Leading Edge Completions in Fort Worth left town Sunday afternoon after being marked in the livery of its future owner, Air India. The plane is shown here on takeoff from Meacham Airport. Notice the degree of flexing in the composite wings.

See the story from Sunday's Star-Telegram and selection of photos in the Leading Edge hangar of the Air India 787 with its bold and colorful paint job.

Leading Edge will paint all of the Charleston, S.C. produced 787s. This one flew back to Charleston on Sunday for further check out and preparation before it is turned over to the airline.

I am so looking forward to this plane flying. It looks good in the Boeing colours too. the interior of this aircraft is the best I have ever seen. As of yet I have not seen one fly in the UK.

As one who is about to take her first flight aboard these new planes - British Airways to Barbados - I must say I am really looking forward to it!
Hoping to get a laptop connection too!
