Monday Midday Must-Reads

-Airlines earnings season is in full swing this week with all of the major carriers reporting third quarter results (with the exception of AMR and Southwest who posted results last week). Here's a news report on that reveals Bob Herbst's estimates at AirlineFinancials.com.

-The Tulsa World takes a look at how American Airlines' mechanics are dealing with the pending layoffs at the Tulsa facility and the uncertainty it has created for some of the carrier's workers.
