Dallas/Fort Worth Airport chief executive Jeff Fegan and Dallas Mayor MIke Rawlings and Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price issued this joint statement applauding the ratification vote by American Airlines' pilots.
"We are pleased and appreciative for the hard work and compromise that went into reaching the consensual agreements between American Airlines and its labor unions. With the successful ratification of the new labor agreement with the pilots, American Airlines and its union leaders have reached nine new labor agreements that set the stage for the company’s emergence from bankruptcy. We are optimistic that American Airlines, its unions and its stakeholders are charting a course that will ultimately see the company emerge as a vibrant, growing and sustainable airline. A strong American Airlines is good for DFW Airport and good for the citizens and businesses of North Texas."
