Monday Midday Must-Read: April Fool's edition

It's April Fools' Day and one of Sky Talk's favorite travel bloggers, Brett Snyder, had this fun headline to celebrate jokers' favorite day:

Doug Parker Decides 'Small is Beautiful' - Doesn't Want AA-US Merger After Livery Concerns

In the post on Gadling, Snyder quotes Parker saying "Everyone knows that the most important part of any merger is how you paint the airplanes. This one was just too difficult for us to figure out."

Snyder had two prankster columns in him, posting on his Cranky Flier blog, that Virgin America was going to rebrand itself as Alitalia America.

"Alitalia America is partnering with Ferrari to create new seat designs while new flight attendant uniforms will be created by Benetton. Coffee will now be from Illy, but this means some configuration changes on the airplane. Three seats will be removed on each aircraft to make room for an espresso machine. All mood lighting onboard will now be green and red instead of purple and red," Snyder writes.

Have fun reading!
