Southwest says June passenger traffic up 2.3 percent

Southwest Airlines said its passenger traffic grew 2.3 percent in June as the Dallas-based carrier increased its capacity by 1.7 percent.

Its load factor also rose 0.6 percentage points to 85.0 percent compared to June 2012.

However, unit revenues decreased about one percent, the carrier said on Tuesday.
