American pilots, flight attendants to attend 9/11 memorial event in Grapevine on Wednesday morning

The 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial in Grapevine will hold a flag-lowering ceremony on Wednesday morning on the 12th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

The event, which begins at 7:46 a.m. at the memorial site at 1000 Texan Trail, will include the debut of a new bronze sculpture to honor the firefighters that lost their lives on that day.

The leaders and members of the Allied Pilots Association and the Association of Professional Flight Attendants will be attending the ceremony to remember their colleagues who died on American Airlines Flight 11 and Flight 77.
