Southwest says passenger traffic up 1.2 percent in February

Southwest Airlines said its passenger traffic increased 1.2 percent in February as the Dallas-based carrier decreased its capacity by 1.7 percent.

As a result, its load factors grew 2.3 percent in February to 78.1 percent.

The carrier said its unit revenues are estimated to have grown five percent in February which includes a benefit from February's winter storms.
