Spirit to start DFW-Kansas City service in August

Low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines announced Wednesday that it will add service to Kansas City starting in August, including routes to Dallas/Fort Worth airport.

Spirit said it will also offer daily non-stops from Kansas City to Detroit, Las Vegas, Chicago O'Hare airport and Houston's George Bush Intercontinental airport.

The carrier's flight to DFW will depart Kansas City at 5:35 p.m. arriving at DFW at 7:02 p.m. and then leave DFW at 7:42 p.m. and arrive in Kansas City at 9:10 p.m. every day beginning on August 7.
