Southwest says June passenger traffic increased 2.2 percent

Southwest Airlines reported that its passenger traffic in June rose 2.2 percent as the carrier increased its capacity by 0.9 percent.

The Dallas-based carrier said its load factor increased 1.1 percentage points to 86.1 percent when compared to June 2013.

Southwest said it expects unit revenues to increase in the seven to eight percent range in June.
