Southwest says passenger traffic grew 6.6 percent in July

Southwest Airlines said passenger traffic rose 6.6 percent in July as the company increased its capacity by 2.6 percent.

As a result, the Dallas-based carrier said its load factor grew 3.2 percentage points to 86.7 percent for the month.

Southwest estimates that its unit revenues increased about four percent compared to July 2013.
