DFW Airport puts its water cannons to use on ALS ice bucket challenge

So these ice bucket challenges are all over social media, raising money for ALS research and if I posted one to Sky Talk every time it popped up on Facebook or on Twitter, that's all you'd see on this blog.

But I give props to DFW Airport's executive staff, who staged their ice bucket challenge on the tarmac at the airport and brought out the big guns to spray cold water on everyone.

Usually, aircraft on brand new routes or airlines' first arrival at DFW merit the "shower of affection" from DFW's fire truck water cannons. This time it was DFW Airport CEO Sean Donohue getting the shower before dumping the ice bucket over his head.

And since I missed Southwest's CEO Gary Kelly taking his ice bucket challenge in late August, here's the Dallas-based carrier's video of the event. I don't want our friends in Dallas to feel left out since I posted American CEO Doug Parker's challenge.

And now, no more ice bucket challenges on Sky Talk!
