American says passenger traffic up slightly in October

American Airlines reported its passenger traffic in October grew 0.2 percent as the Fort Worth-based carrier increased capacity slightly, up 0.5 percent.

The company said its load factor dropped 0.3 percentage points to 82.2 percent when compared to October 2013.

American reiterated its forecast that fourth quarter unit revenues will be flat to up two percent.
